Malia Phillips-Lee

Thomasville based law firm Whitehurst, Blackburn and Warren announces the arrival of their newest associate Malia Phillips-Lee. Phillips-Lee speaks intermediate and conversational Spanish, which will aid the firm in communicating with Spanish speaking clients.

Phillips-Lee received her bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University where she majored in secondary education with an emphasis in English. She furthered her education at Valdosta State University where she worked on Master’s level classes in Spanish. Phillips-Lee graduated from The Florida State University College of Law in 2007 and was admitted to both the Georgia and Florida Bars in 2008. She is also admitted to practice in the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

While in law school, Phillips-Lee won the Book Award for Legal Research and Writing II and excelled in Appellate Advocacy. She was also an invitee of the Business Law Review, Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law, and the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy. Early in her career she served as a law clerk for the Honorable A. Wallace Cato and the Honorable Richard Porter III of the South Georgia Judicial Circuit. She is licensed in both Georgia and Florida.
